AST1102 Astronomy 2

Course Description

This course introduces the Sun, the stars, and galaxies. It provides broad scientific understanding of our origins, our place in the universe, and our future, and highlights the profound astronomical influences on our planet. Access to Mt Kent Observatory and/or space-telescope data is provided to enable students to develop skills in analysing research-quality data. AST1102 is the complementary course to AST1101 Astronomy 1, an introduction to planetary science.
